September review
To recap Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood was enjoyed by Ed. Points go to Ed, Cate and Cherry the only people who got to the end.
Next book The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows. To be finished by 24th October 7pm at Ed’s. Feed back about the book to be kept to a minimum to make sure we have time to watch the film of said book. Kindly provided by Ed.
After that we have A Little Life, by Hanya Yanagihara. If we don’t like it we can blame my daughter, Lucy who recommended it.
Evaluation of the book will take place at Chris’s house, on the 21st of November.
January’s book will be The Famine of |Horses if we can’t find a better one.
February 2019 update
The Famine of Horses was reviewed on the 16th of January 2019. Mixed reviews.
Martin made the excellent nibbles.
Next book is In the Midst of Winter by Isabel Allende. To be finished by the 20th of February 2019.
Following is the book by A A Milne , of Winne the Pooh fame, called Chloe Marr.
We are waiting for the book, Becoming, by Michelle Obama to come in paperback before we put that on our list.
April Post
As we are still waiting for the Michelle Obama book to come out in paperback we decided to read the book London Ashes by Andrew Taylor. Who just happens to be giving a talk at Rossiters Book shop on the 11th of April.
